The pilgrims sacrificed to him at watersheds and ritual places like at the Luschari mountain.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">The oldest names of the rivers (Fella, Isonzo, Sava, Gailitz\/Gail) refer to the sun god above the Mangart.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Unsolved historical mysteries find an answer (the Celtic Noreia, the &#8220;Tumuli of the Noric Alps&#8221;, the Via Belloio).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">A pilgrimage path, a mandala around the mountain of the gods Mangart (comparable to the one around Mount Kailash in Tibet), is reconstructed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Mirages provided the motif, shaped by nature, for the Trinity and the inverted otherworld.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">With a triple deity, a self sacrificing God and a Mother of God, Christianity carries on essential symbols of the \u00a0natural religion, adapted to its epoch.<\/span><b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>About the author:<\/b><br \/>\nHelmut Tributsch grew up in San Leopoldo (Leopoldskirchen), Valcanale (Italy), within sight of Monte Lussari. The legend and the spiritual background of this place of pilgrimage in its breathtaking mountain landscape have moved him since childhood.
